Amusements plugin for WordPress is available! Amusements is a simple plugin that can basically display up to five of your current favourates in books, music, movie, games, (in fact anything) anywhere in your wordpress blog. The screenshot to the right shows a sidebar implimentation displaying a book, an audio book, and a DVD set. Each entry can have an image and a link (for example, to Amazon where the amusement is available). The current version of Amusements is version 1.2.

Download and documentation are available here.

Amusements is under GPL and is available for free. You can download, use, modify, or keep in the back of your plugins directory in total disregard for eternity.

Please leave a comment here for bug report and additional support.

**Update: Version 1.2 is now available.

御主人之名為我孫子長幹

最近在某篇文章的留言版裡看到一群滿腦子女權的白痴女人在抱怨日語老公的漢字是「主人」，簡直是污衊女性云云。本來該篇文章的重點只不過是在強調「自我價值」，這些在那邊靠腰的女人卻大多似看不懂的樣子。這就姑且不談，但是看到一堆愚婦拿中文來理解每個日文漢字，就覺得很想給她們巴下去。拜託，雖然日文借了中文漢字，但是日文是日文，中文是中文，不要以為看得懂幾個漢字就覺得日文裡的意思應該也是差不多好不好？難道遇到名字叫做「吾妻幹夫」、「田邊幹久」、「我孫子長幹」的日本人就要指責人家取了又噁心又污衊女性的名字嗎？同樣的漢字，我們理解的跟他們理解的不一定是一樣的東西 ……（繼續閱讀）

紀念樂高鐵金剛二號

又是一個無聊時打發時間的產物。樂高TM鐵（其實是塑膠）金剛大部分是由樂高TM Technic 與 Make&Create 動物系列的零件組合而成。不過，二號在電視機上站了幾個月後，在一次地震中摔下來四分五裂（所以也不算是什麼金剛），現在正在零件盒裡默默地等待下一次化零為整的重生機會。等待吧，樂高TM鐵金剛！

在傳統武術中，講「氣」者絕大部分是在講內勁。老拳師通常在提到氣時，通常是在指力道傳遞的路線，因為真正身體力行者通常只知其然而不知其所以然，沒有好的解釋，就借用自東晉葛洪以來便深入中國民間宇宙觀的中醫養身氣化理論，全部用一個「氣」來解釋。在現代則沒有這個必要，可以用生理物理力學等原理來解釋勁的運行，完全不必要用到氣。

把養身的氣外加陰陽五行八卦的玄學之論大量的引用到武術上來，應該是在清朝中葉開始的。明朝時的名家，例如戚繼光，吳殳，陳王庭等他們的著作都沒有提到什麼氣，都講究勁道運用與穩紮穩練 ……（繼續閱讀）

LEGO Rubberband Pistol 1.0

An example of a simple machine that’s made overly complicated due to a total desire to waste time and procrastinate at real work. It shoots rubberbands, capable of semi-automatic firing of about 4 or 5 rounds. Constructed mostly using LEGOTM Technic parts.

破除黑洞的兩個迷思

迷思一：黑洞的外形很像冰淇林，一端面積很大逐漸向另一端縮小直到成為一個頂點，叫做奇點。

黑洞的形狀跟冰淇林一點關係都沒有。這大概是中學課本裡或是一些科學館解說愛因斯坦的萬有引力及黑洞時，把空間簡化成平面有彈性的橡膠皮，再加以曲扭的圖形，時間軸也沒有表現出來，因而造成無數人的誤解。事實上，萬有引力是時間與空間一起被質量壓縮曲扭而產生的，黑洞則是這種曲扭的極致。科學家也只能用算式來表示，它真正的整體形狀大概只有神才可以想像得到吧 ……（繼續閱讀）
