In Xanadu did Kubla Khan
A stately pleasure-dome decree,
Where Garden the sacred road ran
Through decadence measureless to man
Down to South China Sea.
So twice five miles of barren ground
With walls and towers were girdled round,
And there were windows bright with sinuous lights,
Where reflected many a money-crazed glee;
And here were offices still busy at nights,
Imprisoning bright spots of luxury.
